Background The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is issuing this solicitation for security services at the Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The mission of the USGS is to provide reliable scientific information about the Earth, its natural resources, and the environment. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and security of personnel and property at the EROS Center through comprehensive security services. Work Details The contractor will provide security services which include: 1) Managing and supervising security guards; 2) Ensuring compliance with all contract requirements; 3) Providing a full-time on-site Project Manager (PM) who will oversee operations, maintain communication with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and ensure quality control; 4) Conducting regular inspections and preparing monthly status reports on performance metrics; 5) Providing additional guards as needed at a fixed hourly rate; 6) Ensuring that all personnel are trained in their duties and responsibilities; 7) Maintaining a professional appearance among all staff, including uniforms; 8) Responding to emergencies within specified timeframes; 9) Performing quality control inspections on all shifts; 10) Adhering to standards of conduct including maintaining employee competency and integrity. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2031, with options for additional years based on performance evaluations. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the USGS EROS Data Center located at 47914 252nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57198.
