Background The Mission Installation Contracting Command – Fort Knox intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) to provide boxed noon meals for applicants processing through the Fort Jackson Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), located at 2435 Marion Avenue, Columbia, SC 29207. The goal of this contract is to ensure that applicants receive nutritious meals during their processing at the MEPS, which is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and applicant satisfaction. Work Details The contractor shall provide noon (boxed lunch) meals for Armed Forces applicants at the Fort Jackson MEPS. Key tasks include: preparing meals in a licensed facility, transporting and serving meals upon request, ensuring all food is sourced from sanitarily approved facilities, and maintaining compliance with health regulations. The contractor must also manage employee training for access to military installations, including AT Level I Training and OPSEC Training. Meals must be served from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with an estimated average of 58 meals daily and a maximum of 175. Additional requirements include providing cold beverages, condiments, and ensuring all food items are delivered prepackaged. The contractor will also handle administrative functions related to meal services and invoicing.
