Background The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is issuing this solicitation for Level II Armed Security Guard Services in support of disaster-related sites and facilities in Montana, particularly for areas declared under disaster DR-4847-CTM. The mission of FEMA is to safeguard federal employees, visitors, and property during disaster and emergency declarations, as mandated by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act. This contract aims to establish a labor hour contract for security services that will enhance FEMA's ability to respond effectively to emergencies. Work Details The contractor will provide Level II Armed Protective Security Officers to perform security services at various disaster-related sites throughout Montana. Key responsibilities include: 1. Safeguarding federal employees, visitors, and property at both temporary and fixed facilities during disaster declarations. 2. Ensuring that all security personnel meet local and state qualification requirements. 3. Providing ten (10) Level II Armed Protective Security Officers available within 24 hours of contract execution. 4. Familiarizing officers with specific post orders prepared by FEMA for each assignment. 5. Maintaining logs and writing reports on security activities as required. 6. Adhering to all applicable regulations, including those outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Period of Performance The period of performance includes a base period of 90 days with three optional periods of 90 days each, allowing for continued service as needed based on FEMA's requirements. Place of Performance The services will be performed throughout the State of Montana, specifically in counties affected by the declared disaster DR-4847-CTM.
