This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.202, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested via attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. The Government is seeking to rent forklifts and an optional telehandler in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) for delivery to Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL) in San Diego, CA.

This solicitation is a request for quotes (RFQ). The submission of a quote does not constitute a legally binding offer. All quotes received will be evaluated for technical acceptability. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order to the responsible vendor whose quote, conforming to the solicitation, is most advantageous to the Government.
Background The Government is seeking to rent forklifts and an optional telehandler for delivery to Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL) in San Diego, CA. This solicitation is part of a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.202. Work Details The contractor will provide rental forklifts and an optional telehandler, including: - Equipment will operate around-the-clock under a rigorous deployment performance schedule with unlimited usage hours. - Delivery of fully-charged/fueled, fully-assembled, ready-to-use equipment that meets all applicable laws and regulations. - The contractor must respond to repair needs within four hours and complete repairs within 24 hours or replace defective units within 48 hours. - The contractor is responsible for preventative maintenance, including fluid checks and repairs not arising from abuse or negligence. - All personnel must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety standards as per OSHA regulations. - The contractor must ensure compliance with lockout/tag out requirements and provide spill protection during maintenance activities.
