Background The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is issuing this solicitation for the Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) located in Kauai, Hawaii. The mission of the FWS is to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. The goal of this contract is to procure gravel necessary for repairing severely damaged roads caused by flood events, ensuring accessibility for wetland habitat management and supporting threatened and endangered waterbird species. Work Details The contractor shall provide approximately 500 tons of #67, 3-B Fine gravel to be delivered to specified locations within the refuge. The gravel will be used to repair roads that are critical for maintaining wetland habitats. Refuge personnel will guide the contractor drivers on where to unload the gravel. The contractor must present weigh tickets with and without material loaded to document the amount delivered. Deliveries are scheduled as follows: - 400 tons on April 13, 2026, at Kuna baseyard in Hanalei - A second delivery of additional gravel on April 20, 2026, at Huleia NWR in Lihue, Hawaii. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from May 1, 2026, to May 29, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at two locations: Kuna baseyard in Hanalei (4748 Ohiki Road, Hanalei, HI 96714) and Huleia NWR located in Lihue, Hawaii (96766).
