Summary (Newest Update)

Background The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is soliciting information for the procurement of one Medium Voltage (MV) Transformer as part of Project WFTCA-1C – Electrical Power Upgrades at the High-Pressure Gas Facility (HPGF) within the Stennis Space Center (SSC). This initiative is crucial for maintaining the program schedule for electrical upgrades and related integration activities. The solicitation aims to gather capability statements from interested parties, including all socioeconomic categories of Small Businesses, to assess competition levels and small business subcontracting goals. Work Details The contractor is required to furnish, test, and deliver a fully compliant MV transformer assembly suitable for pad-mount installation at HPGF. The specifications include: - Primary Voltage: 15 kV class with proposed ANSI standard tap range. - Secondary Voltage: 4160 V (3-phase). - Phase: Three-phase. - Capacity: 5,000 kVA. - Frequency: 60 Hz. Construction materials include a stainless steel tank, copper windings, and mineral oil dielectric per ASTM standards. The transformer must meet IEEE/ANSI/NEMA standards and include necessary accessories such as bushings and tap changers. Factory testing is required prior to shipment, along with a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) plan and reports. Deliverables also include as-built equipment drawings, oil certificates, commissioning plans, and warranty certificates. Period of Performance The required delivery date for the MV transformer is no later than May 2027. Place of Performance The product will be delivered to the High-Pressure Gas Facility (HPGF) at NASA's Stennis Space Center.
