Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District has a requirement for inspection, maintenance, and repairs to the hull, steel structures, dredging equipment, propulsion system, and auxiliary systems aboard the Dredge Wheeler. The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational readiness and safety of the Dredge Wheeler through comprehensive maintenance services. Work Details The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, tools, supplies, materials, equipment, machine shop facilities, and transportation (except those items identified as government-furnished) to perform the following tasks: 1. Inspection and maintenance of hull and steel structures. 2. Repairs to dredging equipment including pumps and piping systems. 3. Maintenance of propulsion systems and auxiliary systems aboard the Dredge Wheeler. 4. Disassembly and reassembly of various components including hydraulic piping and seals. 5. Fabrication of new parts as needed for repairs. 6. Emergency repairs at various work sites as required throughout the year. Place of Performance Most work will be performed while the Dredge Wheeler is moored at the Corps of Engineers wharf located at 7400 Leake Ave, New Orleans, Louisiana 70118.
