Background The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is responsible for promoting public safety and strengthening domestic security by providing services in partnership with local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies. The goal of this contract is to procure annual upgrades and maintenance for the STRmix™ software, which is essential for the operation of crime laboratories in investigating high-profile criminal cases. Work Details The contract entails providing annual upgrades and maintenance for the STRmix™ software, a probabilistic genotyping solution used by FDLE's crime labs. This includes ongoing assistance with software upgrades, preparation of STRmix™ parameter settings, analysis and interpretation of internal validation data, preparation of validation and implementation documentation, standard operating procedures, and training. The software is proprietary to NicheVision Forensics, LLC, which is the only authorized vendor in the United States for this platform. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the FDLE/Tallahassee Regional Operations Center (TROC) DNA Database located at 2331 Phillips Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32308. Bidder Requirements NicheVision Forensics, LLC is identified as the intended single source for this procurement due to its unique position as the only authorized vendor for STRmix™ software in the United States. No other vendors can provide licenses or maintenance support for this proprietary software.
