Background The Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region, is issuing a contract for the Pojoaque Basin Regional Water System (PBRWS) Phase II Design-Build project. This project is authorized by the Aamodt Litigation Settlement Act and aims to deliver an ultimate capacity of 4,000 acre-feet per year with a peak daily demand of 6.23 million gallons per day. The contract will facilitate the construction of a water supply system that meets safe drinking water standards for users in San Ildefonso, Pojoaque, Nambé, Tesuque Pueblos, and parts of Santa Fe County. The project is being procured in phases, with Phase I currently under construction. Work Details The work includes a progressive design-build approach consisting of three phases: 1) Design Phase - Utilize existing design drawings and WaterGEMS model information to prepare designs to 90% completion and develop a firm-fixed price proposal; 2) Construction Phase - Complete 100% design and construction tasks including construction inspection services, cultural monitoring services, system disinfection, and as-built drawings; 3) Post-Construction Phase - Ensure all components are operational and meet the established capacity requirements. The contractor must incorporate value engineering and innovative technology throughout the project. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from September 18, 2026, to April 10, 2030. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed in the Pojoaque Basin area of New Mexico.
