Rebid - Edgebrook Golf Course Water Sourcing

Sealed original bids will be received by the City Council of Brookings, South Dakota, at the office of the City Clerk at the Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 3rd Street, Suite 230, Brookings, South Dakota, until 1:30 P.M. CST, Monday, May 4, 2026, for the project known as Rebid - Edgebrook Golf Course Water Sourcing. All bids will then be publicly opened and read. The work includes providing approximately 6,000 lineal feet of 8 watermain, installation of an underground valve vault, valves, SCADA, and other appurtenances, as well as approximately 1,500 cubic yards of owner-furnished clay liner material, unclassified excavation and dewatering, and approximately 360 lineal feet of 16 steel encasement (jack and bore). Specifications and bidding blanks can be inspected and obtained at the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department, Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 3rd Street, Suite 130, Brookings, South Dakota, or online at www.cityofbrookingssd.gov. It is recommended to download as plan holders will receive automatic notifications of addenda and bid updates. Interested parties may view the Bidding Documents at no cost after registration and before deciding to become a plan holder. Upon request, in accordance with South Dakota Codified Law 5-18B-1, one paper copy of the Bidding Documents will be provided at no charge to each prime contractor resident in South Dakota who intends to submit a bid to the Owner. Unsuccessful bidders must return the documents to the Issuing Office within thirty (30) days after the bid opening. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be available only through the designated websites. Each proposal must include a certified check, cashier's check, or draft for five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Brookings, South Dakota, or a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The check or bond will be retained by the City as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract and performance bond. All bidders must hold applicable South Dakota tax licenses and furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for the contract price. Preference will be given to materials found or procured within South Dakota. The City of Brookings reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any and all bids. No bids may be withdrawn after the opening time.
