Background The City of Los Angeles, through its Department of General Services, is seeking bids for the procurement of electric bicycles (eBikes) specifically designed for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The goal of this contract is to enhance the LAPD's operational capabilities by providing high-quality eBikes that meet specified performance and safety standards. Work Details The contract involves supplying a total of 20 Volcanic eBikes, categorized as follows: - 3 units of XL size - 6 units of L size - 11 units of M size. All eBikes must be from the manufacturer Volcanic Bikes and adhere to the specifications outlined in the attached documents. No substitutions will be accepted for these items. The supplier is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the required specifications and are delivered in accordance with the terms set forth in the RFQ. Period of Performance The expected delivery timeframe is within 7 calendar days after receipt of the purchase order, with an option for additional quantities to be ordered at the same prices until April 16, 2027. Place of Performance The delivery location will be specified upon receipt of the purchase order but is generally within Los Angeles, CA. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with various requirements including registration on the Los Angeles Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (RAMP), adherence to the Contractor Responsibility Ordinance, and submission of a Pledge of Compliance. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of being an authorized distributor/dealer for Volcanic Bikes and may need to submit samples prior to award.
