Background The Salem-Keizer Public Schools is seeking contractors to provide Battery Replacement Services for Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). The goal of this contract is to ensure the reliable operation of UPS systems by replacing old batteries with new, high-rate batteries, thereby supporting the district's mission to maintain operational continuity in their facilities. Work Details The contractor will perform complete battery replacement services for two GE LP33 50KVA UPS systems. Each service includes: - De-installation of 48 old 12V 400WPC batteries from each UPS. - Installation of 48 new 12V 400WPC batteries for each UPS. - Transfer of the UPS back online after installation. - Environmentally approved disposal of the old batteries. All work must be conducted during normal business hours. Period of Performance The contract is expected to be performed within a specified timeframe following the issuance of the purchase order, with all services to be completed during normal working hours. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the Salem-Keizer Public Schools facilities located at 3630 State Street, Salem, OR 97301. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with non-discrimination policies as per ORS 659 and must certify that they do not discriminate against any employee or applicant based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, financial ability, age or other non-job related factors. Additionally, bidders are required to confirm compliance with safety regulations regarding student protection and must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history check if required.
