Background The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 1 Laboratory in North Chelmsford, MA is seeking to acquire a Cyanotoxin Automated Analysis System (CAAS). The purpose of this system is to optimize Cyanotoxin Analysis to ensure scientifically sound and defensible data to support various EPA program needs, including the Water Division and the National Harmful Algae Bloom program. This initiative aligns with the EPA's mission to promote clean air, land, and water for every American by analyzing samples for potentially harmful toxins resulting from cyanobacteria blooms. Work Details The contract requires the delivery of a Cyanotoxin Automated Analysis System (CAAS) which includes: - Part Number 475006: Gold Standard Diagnostic CAAS Cube Automated Analysis System, which consists of: - CAAS Cube - Netbook Computer - Battery Back-up (UPS) - Instrument racks for 4mL vials and reagent bottles - Freight/Shipping (Ground) - Installation and 1-Day Training for up to three EPA employees - ELISA Training Supplies (3-Test Kits) - Maintenance & Support Agreement – Platinum (1-Year Warranty) - 4-Year Service CAAS Cube (Silver) - Part Number 475006CYA: Cyanotoxin Automated Analysis Bundle, which includes: - Cyanotoxin ELISA Training Manual - 500 mL 5X wash buffer - 1L plastic bottle/cap - 4 mL vials/holder. The system must be capable of performing Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISA) with fully automated capabilities. It should conduct required washing steps without user interference, accommodate at least forty-three samples in a single run, and provide data output in transferable formats. The physical dimensions must not exceed: 28” W x 32” L x 35” H. Period of Performance Delivery of the instruments and components shall occur on or before a date to be determined from receipt of order. Place of Performance The products will be delivered to the U.S. EPA Region 1 New England Regional Laboratory located at 11 Technology Dr., North Chelmsford, MA 01863.
