Background The Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Basin Region, Albuquerque Area Office, is responsible for planning, design, and construction of projects at the Brackish Groundwater National Desalination Research Facility (BGNDRF) located in Alamogordo, NM. The BGNDRF was established to promote sustainable advanced water treatment research and technology development for inland brackish groundwater sources. This contract aims to upgrade the existing research internet service to facilitate onsite research and other non-GSS network internet needs. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for upgrading the existing DSL internet service by running fiberoptic cables into the BGNDRF building and installing necessary equipment to provide wired and wireless internet throughout the facility and outdoor test pads. Specific tasks include: 1) Installation of fiberoptic cable to the server room; 2) Installation of switches and associated equipment; 3) Provision of monthly internet service (1G/1G); 4) Equipment leasing options; 5) Ensuring that installation is completed within 60 days of contract award. The contractor must also ensure that the upgraded system can support multiple research areas and provide a static IP when required. Period of Performance The anticipated period of performance is from May 8, 2026, through May 7, 2027, with installation to be completed within 60 days of award.
