Synopsis: NASA/NSSC has a requirement for FAR SpectroPyrometer. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to RALPH A. FELICE, INC. under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that RALPH A. FELICE, INC. is the sole provider of FAR SpectroPyrometer. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Glenn Research Center (GRC). The Government intends to acquire Choose an item.Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial The NAICS Code for this procurement is 513210. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 4/15/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Background NASA/NSSC has a requirement for a SpectroPyrometer to support high-temperature materials research and testing. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to RALPH A. FELICE, INC., which has been determined to be the sole provider of the SpectroPyrometer. The procurement will be managed by NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC). Work Details The contract involves the procurement of an expert system multi-wavelength pyrometer with the following specifications: 1. SpectroPyrometer: - Quantity: 1 - Features: On-line tolerance and signal strength (emissivity), spectral and total emissivity correction, absorption (offgas) compensation, integrated laser for aiming. - Resolution: 0.1℃ - Measurement: Continuous or on operator demand. - Analog temperature output: 0 – 10 VDC. - Results are printed to screen and logged in non-volatile memory; raw data can be saved for later analysis. - Includes integrated Windows PC; data analysis for the first 30 days after purchase is included. - Model: FMPI; Temperature range: 300 - 2000℃/572 - 3632℉ 2. Fixed-focus lens assembly: - Quantity: 1 - Focal length: from 16 in. to 20 ft. (40 to 600 cm); default is 28 inches. 3. Fiberoptic, armored: - Length: 5 meters; additional length available at $125/meter. 4. Spectral emissivity on-screen display: - Includes spectral emissivity as a function of wavelength stored in data files. Period of Performance 20-26 weeks ARO.
