The purpose of this contract is to provide a broad range of construction services, including maintenance, alteration, and repair affecting real property at eight major medical facilities within VISN 7. The goal is to ensure that these facilities can effectively serve veterans by maintaining and improving their infrastructure. Work Details The work under this MATOC will encompass various construction tasks including demolition, renovation, new construction of facilities, repair, and alterations. Specific trades involved may include civil engineering, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life safety systems, architectural work, carpentry, flooring installation, masonry work, earthwork, concrete work, and asphalt paving. Each task order will derive its project descriptions and specifications from the statement of work (SOW) relevant to that particular order. The eight major facilities covered under this contract include: - Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC - WM Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC - Birmingham VA Medical Center in Birmingham, AL - Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System in Montgomery, AL - Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL - Atlanta VA Medical Center in Atlanta, GA - Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, GA - Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA. Period of Performance The period of performance for the resultant contracts will commence on the date of award and will last for five years or until the total value of all task orders reaches $900 million. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at various locations including eight major medical facilities across South Carolina and Georgia.
