Background The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking bids for painting services under Contract 4561-26. This contract aims to provide general painting services within the district, specifically in Westchester County, New York. The goal is to maintain and enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of the school facilities. Work Details The contractor will provide skilled and experienced painting services on an 'on-call' basis as required. This includes: 1) General painting of school facilities; 2) Preparation of surfaces including cleaning, sanding, and priming; 3) Application of paint using appropriate techniques and materials; 4) Ensuring all work complies with safety standards and regulations; 5) Providing emergency services within two hours of notification and commencing non-emergency work within twenty-four hours; 6) Maintaining a clean work environment and ensuring minimal disruption to school activities. Period of Performance The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and will run through June 30, 2027. There is an option for the City School District to extend the contract for two additional twelve-month periods under the same terms. Place of Performance All services will be performed at various locations within the City School District of New Rochelle, located in Westchester County, New York. Bidder Requirements Bidders must demonstrate: a) At least five years of experience in commercial painting services; b) Compliance with New York State Labor Laws including prevailing wage rates; c) Proper licensing from Westchester County and local municipalities; d) A safety program compliant with OSHA regulations; e) Evidence of good faith efforts to utilize certified minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs); f) Submission of a Certificate of Registration with NYSDOL as per New York State Labor Law Section 220-i.
