Background The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 502d Air Base Wing at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), is seeking contractors to provide services for the repair and replacement of doors, door locks, and related hardware across multiple facilities including Lackland, Randolph, Fort Sam Houston, and Camp Bullis. The goal of this contract is to ensure the security and functionality of doors and locking mechanisms within these military installations. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to repair or replace door locks and rekey facilities as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Specific tasks include: repairing or replacing doors, deadbolts, panic exit devices, thresholds, door closers, catches, strikes, cores, keys, ADA compliant mechanisms; installing new exterior and interior locks; ensuring compliance with quality control systems; responding to emergency calls after normal duty hours; coordinating key changes with facility managers; ensuring all work meets safety and environmental regulations; providing necessary documentation for hazardous materials; maintaining a clean work area; and conducting criminal background checks on personnel. The contractor must also ensure that all locks used are commercial grade and that repairs match existing specifications. Period of Performance The performance period for special order items and government-furnished material shall not exceed seven days after materials have been received. Services are to be performed during normal hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Place of Performance Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), Texas including Lackland AFB, Randolph AFB, Fort Sam Houston, and Camp Bullis.
