Background

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is preparing to issue a solicitation for the construction of a campus security fence at the Vancouver VA Medical Center. This project aims to enhance security measures on the campus and is set aside for small businesses, specifically Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBC). The anticipated release date for the solicitation is on or about November 10, 2025. Work Details: The contractor will be responsible for constructing a security fence surrounding the Vancouver VA Medical Center campus. The scope of work includes: 1) Complete site preparation for building operations; 2) Demolition and removal of existing structures; 3) Furnishing labor and materials necessary for the construction; 4) Performing all work as specified in the drawings and specifications provided with the solicitation. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Period of Performance: The intended period of performance for this contract is 270 calendar days following receipt of notice to proceed. Place of Performance: The construction projects will be performed at the Portland VA Medical Center - Vancouver campus located at 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661.
