Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is issuing this solicitation for the maintenance of developed recreation sites along the Lower Deschutes River Corridor in Oregon. The goal of this contract is to ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep of these sites, which are vital for public enjoyment and environmental stewardship. The contract will cover maintenance tasks at BLM owned and/or operated recreation areas, enhancing visitor experience while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining developed recreation sites from Mecca Flat Campground to Mack’s Canyon Campground. Specific tasks include: 1. Cleaning approximately 31 vault/pit toilets and associated buildings across 19 recreation sites. 2. Conducting service trips once per week from May 1 to October 31, with preferred service days being Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. If service occurs twice a week, trips must be spaced at least two days apart. 3. Ensuring all work is completed without disturbing visitors and maintaining a professional representation of the BLM. 4. Furnishing all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, materials (except government-furnished items), cleaning supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), toilet paper, air fresheners, and other incidentals required for project completion. 5. Following all applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding safety and environmental protection. Period of Performance The period of performance for the base year is from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, with options for four additional one-year terms. Place of Performance The work will be performed at developed recreation sites along the Lower Deschutes River Corridor in Sherman and Wasco Counties, Oregon.
