Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Nevada State Office is issuing a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the inspection and service of fire extinguishers within the Carson City district. The goal of this contract is to ensure that fire safety equipment is properly maintained and operational, supporting the agency's mission to manage public lands for multiple uses while ensuring safety and compliance with federal regulations. Work Details The contractor will perform fire extinguisher inspection, testing, repair, replacement, and sprinkler system maintenance and repair for various locations including the Carson City District Office and associated fire stations. Specific tasks include: 1. Inspecting handles, safety pins, operating handles, pressure gauges, cylinders, syphon tubes, discharge hoses, and discharge nozzles for damage or defects. 2. Disassembling fire extinguishers to inspect internal components. 3. Replacing or repairing components as necessary and recharging extinguishing agents when required. 4. Reporting any extinguishers that are inoperative or un-serviced to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). 5. Ensuring all work complies with NFPA standards and state regulations. Period of Performance The period of performance for this BPA will be from April 27, 2026, to April 26, 2031. Place of Performance The services will be performed at various locations within the Carson City district including: - Carson City District Office at 5665 Morgan Mill Road, Carson City NV; - Silver State Hotshots Operations Center at 3250 Hobo Hot Springs Road, Minden NV; - Palomino Fire Station at 5605 Grass Valley Road, Reno NV; - Stead Air Tanker Base at 14600 Maryland Street, Reno NV; - Cold Springs Fire Station at 3405 White Lake Parkway, Reno NV.
