Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is initiating a nationwide Elevator Modernization initiative. The goal of this contract is to modernize elevator systems at various VA medical centers and facilities to ensure they are fully functional, code-compliant, and non-proprietary. This initiative aims to enhance the operational efficiency and safety of elevator systems across 101 locations. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary services for complete turnkey elevator modernization work. This includes labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, and other related services. The modernization tasks will encompass hydraulic elevators, traction elevators, and associated systems. Specific tasks will vary depending on the individual requirements at each VA Medical Center (VAMC). All work must adhere to the Scope of Work and Specifications outlined in the solicitation documents. Period of Performance The period of performance will vary for each Contract Line Item (CLIN) and will commence upon the Notice of Award (NOA). Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at 101 Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers and facilities located nationwide.
