OE Local Perishable Food Vendors

Background

The State of Rhode Island is issuing this solicitation, MPA 583 OE Local Perishable Food Vendors, to establish a list of qualified local vendors who can supply perishable food products to the State. The goal is to ensure a reliable source of fresh food products for state agencies and related entities.

Work Details

Vendors will be required to supply various perishable food products as needed by the State. This includes but is not limited to fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meats, and other perishable items. The solicitation aims to create a Master Price Agreement (MPA) that allows for the procurement of these goods on an as-needed basis. Vendors must demonstrate their ability to meet quality standards and provide timely deliveries.

Period of Performance

The contract period will begin on November 1, 2025, and will last for three years, ending on October 31, 2028. There is an option for renewal for up to two additional 12-month periods based on vendor performance and availability of funds.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed within the State of Rhode Island, with deliveries made directly to designated state facilities.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must register in Ocean State Procures and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. They must also possess all necessary licenses required for their operations. Additionally, vendors are required to maintain specific insurance coverage including liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and workers' compensation insurance.
