Background The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection intends to make a direct award for the upgrade of the Access Control System at the Elkview Office. This decision is based on the vendor being the sole source provider for the required software (Honeywell Prowatch) and ensuring compatibility with existing hardware. Work Details The contract involves upgrading the Access Control System and includes the following components: 1) Installation of a card reader system at secured entry points, including a new card reader at the main entry gate, integration with entry gate control mechanisms, card/fob issuance, software configuration, and programming of user roles and access schedules. 2) Installation of an Audio Video entry system with audio and video capabilities, integration for remote door release, and an indoor master station for call answering. 3) Wiring and cabling work to support new devices, including pulling new cabling (CAT6/18/2, 18/6), reusing existing wiring where applicable, labeling terminations, and testing all new cabling. 4) Full system integration and testing to ensure functionality between access control and audio video systems. Period of Performance The project must be completed by August 1, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Elkview Office located at 4994 Elk River Rd S, Elkview, WV 25071.
