Background The Air Combat Training Center (ACTC) at Tyndall Air Force Base is seeking to replace its aging Intrusion Detection System (IDS) in Building 503. The current system, installed in 2005, is nearing the end of its operational life, with parts no longer available commercially. This contract aims to procure a new physical IDS to enhance security and operational efficiency. Work Details The contractor shall design, procure, and install a new Intrusion Detection System (IDS) in Building 503. Key tasks include: - Full replacement of all sensors associated with the current IDS. - Installation of new cabling and access panels. - Removal of all old components from the existing IDS. - The installation must be conducted in parallel with the existing system to avoid disruption of daily operations. - Provide all necessary equipment and infrastructure upgrades to support the new system operations. - Integrate the new IDS components into the existing Electronic Security System (ESS) at Tyndall AFB. - Supply all ancillary equipment, materials, and supplies required for installation and infrastructure support. - Remove all abandoned or unused conductors to the maximum extent possible. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of 120 calendar days from the date of award. Place of Performance Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City, Florida.
