Saratoga National Historical Park the contractor will build two American reproduction 6lb cannon carriages. The project will require some lumber milling to get the lumber to the proper thickness and also require have some metal hardware fabricated. Background Saratoga National Historical Park (SARA) is a site of national significance, known for the pivotal battles of the American Revolutionary War. The park commemorates the British surrender, which was a turning point in the war and led to the formation of the Franco-American alliance. The goal of this contract is to reproduce two American 6-pound cannon carriages that will be displayed at Bemus Heights within the park. The project aims to address deterioration caused by exposure to weather over time.
