Background The National Park Service (NPS), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Interior, is responsible for managing national parks and preserving natural and cultural resources. This contract aims to provide monitoring and maintenance services for intrusion and fire alarm systems across five parks in Western Pennsylvania, including the Allegheny Portage Railroad NHS, Johnstown Flood National Memorial, Flight 93 National Memorial, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, and Friendship Hill National Historic Site. The goal is to ensure the safety and security of these sites through effective alarm monitoring. Work Details The contractor will provide comprehensive monitoring and maintenance services for intrusion and fire alarm systems at various locations within the five parks. Key tasks include: - Owning and maintaining a UL-approved monitoring station staffed with certified technicians. - Providing monitoring capabilities that allow for remote arming, disarming, bypassing, changing codes, and reprogramming control panels upon request. - Conducting 24-hour monitoring with immediate notification of alarms to designated individuals on a 'Call Out List'. - Submitting monthly status reports electronically by the 15th of each month. - Performing annual inspections by June each year, including testing and cleaning of all equipment at no additional cost. - Ensuring compatibility of initial programming with existing systems before October 1 of each fiscal year. - Providing unique pin numbers for each user with options for changes throughout the year at no extra charge. - Maintaining records of all equipment tested, cleaned, and inspected during annual inspections. Period of Performance The contract will have a base period from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027, followed by four optional periods extending through April 30, 2031. Place of Performance Services will be performed at various locations in Blair County, Cambria County, Somerset County, and Fayette County in Pennsylvania.
