The County of Bergen operates six golf courses that are integral to its park system, which spans over 9,000 acres. The goal of this contract is to manage revenue-generating activities that cover operational expenses and enhance public service. The County emphasizes the importance of a solid business model and relevant experience in food service operations. Work Details The Concessionaire will be responsible for operating the Snack Bars at the three golf courses, ensuring quality food and refreshments are provided. Responsibilities include: 1. Maintaining a full-service kitchen equipped with necessary cooking and refrigeration equipment. 2. Operating the Snack Bar daily during golf course hours, with specific opening and closing times. 3. Ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining cleanliness in all areas. 4. Providing a menu that meets quality standards for food items, including breakfast, lunch/dinner options, and beverages. 5. Submitting monthly rent payments and an annual gross audit report. 6. Obtaining all necessary licenses and permits for operation. 7. Maintaining equipment in good working order and performing routine maintenance. Period of Performance The contract will last for three years with two optional one-year renewals for Overpeck Golf Course. Darlington and Rockleigh Golf Courses will have operations for three consecutive seasons with two seasonal renewal options. Place of Performance The services will be performed at Overpeck Golf Course (Teaneck, NJ), Darlington Golf Course (Mahwah, NJ), and Rockleigh Golf Course (Rockleigh, NJ). Bidder Requirements Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of three years of successful experience in food service operations along with three references. The General Manager must meet these experience requirements as well. Bidders are required to submit a certified annual gross sales report within 45 days after each season ends. A security deposit of $2,500 per golf course is required prior to the start of operations.
