Background The project is issued by the United States Air Force at Shaw Air Force Base (AFB) with the goal of replacing windows in the Chapel Building 912. Work Details The scope of work includes the demolition and replacement of three existing wood-framed windows in Chapel Building 912. The contractor is required to: - Demo two windows at the front of the chapel and replace them with a curtain wall glass system. - Demo one rear window and replace it with a storefront window. - Repoint masonry as necessary. - Ensure compliance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 4-010-01, International Building Code (IBC), ASTM E1105, International Energy Conservation Code, and Shaw AFB Standards dated August 21, 2018. - Document the existing condition of stained glass prior to removal, safely remove and store it onsite, and reinstall it after the new windows are installed. - Install two new double-pane insulated curtain wall systems that match existing specifications without tinting for stained glass. If any drywall is damaged during installation, it must be repaired and painted from corner to corner with a Level 4 finish.
