Set-Aside: 8(a) competitive NAICS: 561612 PSC: S206 Pre-Solicitation Notice for USGS EROS Security Services. This synopsis is a Pre-Solicitation Notice and not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Department the of Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observations and Science (EROS) Center has a requirement for Security Services. The Government anticipates an award of a performance-based Firm Fixed Price type contract. Actual contractor performance is estimated to begin 09/01/2026 and will continue for a period of potentially 5 years. The RFP may be issued around April 15, 2026 Interested parties may obtain a copy of the RFP electronically at www.sam.gov when posted as RFP 140G0126R0008. This requirement is being issued as an 8(a) competitive set aside. Eligibility to participate may be restricted to 8(a) participants in either the developmental stage or the developmental and transitional stages. Responsible 8(a) vendors are encouraged to submit an offer. Interested 8(a) participants are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation as expeditiously as possible since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program. USGS will not accept unsolicited proposals related to the subject of this announcement. USGS does not intend to pay for the preparation of any information submitted in response to this announcement. As such, no written, telephonic, facsimile or email requests for the solicitation package will be honored. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is solely the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the SAM website for any solicitation amendments.
