Background The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, is issuing this solicitation for mowing, trimming, and general grounds maintenance at the Greenbrier Ranger District administrative compound and associated government residences located in Bartow, West Virginia. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the administrative grounds are maintained in a safe, clean, and professional condition. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to perform the following tasks: 1. Maintain the Greenbrier Ranger District office grounds including the front office lawn surrounding the district entrance sign along the roadway. 2. Maintain the gas shed area and inside the warehouse fenced compound. 3. Care for bunkhouse grounds and two government residences (one-story and two-story) along Route 250 in Bartow, WV. 4. Ensure that areas around all fences, signs, trees, culverts, and other obstacles are properly maintained. 5. The approximate total area to be maintained is 8 acres. Grass height shall be kept between 4 to 6 inches with clippings not allowed to accumulate on sidewalks or building entrances. Mowing and trimming shall occur at least once every two weeks during the growing season (April through October), or more frequently if directed by the Contracting Officer’s Representative. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the Greenbrier Ranger District administrative compound and associated government residences located in Bartow, West Virginia.
