Background The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), is proposing to award a sole source contract for the acquisition of Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS) Configured Portable Barcode Scanners. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of the Multiple-Award Schedule Program, which allows for competitive procedures and services for executive agencies. The justification for this sole source procurement is based on the unique requirements of the DHS SAMS, which necessitates specific devices that can integrate with its asset management system. Work Details USCIS requires a total of two hundred (200) Honeywell CN80G Portable Barcode Scanners configured specifically for the Sunflower software. These scanners will include maintenance support to facilitate inventory management and data uploading into the DHS SAMS. The total estimated value of this procurement is $1,049,860.00. The scanners must be delivered within 60 days after award. The Honeywell CN80G is the only approved device that meets USCIS security requirements and can effectively integrate with the SAMS application, making it a unique product available solely from CGI Federal, Inc. Place of Performance The delivery location for the barcode scanners will be determined by USCIS, likely at their operational facilities.
