The current maintenance contract for this system expired in 2025. To minimize system downtime, CBER requires a service agreement for maintenance and possible repair. Work Details The scope of the contract includes obtaining a maintenance service agreement for the FDA’s Zeiss LSM900 microscope system with twelve (12) months of support and service maintenance. The contractor must provide: 1. Maintenance performed by Zeiss Factory trained Field Service Representatives. 2. Services covering the entire Zeiss LSM900 microscope system, including all parts, accessories, UV and Visible Lasers, attached scan head, instrument control computer hardware/software including Zen software. 3. Provision of loaner parts within five (5) business days if any laser or microscope part fails to repair on-site. 4. Shipping arrangements at no additional cost if any system-related parts cannot be repaired on-site. 5. Phone or email response within 24 hours of reported issues. 6. On-site engineer support within 72 hours of request. 7. Scheduled and unlimited emergency repair service from 8:00am to 5:00pm local time Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. 8. Pricing to include all travel, labor, and replacement parts. 9. One (1) preventative maintenance inspection including software updates and various maintenance tasks. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a base period of twelve (12) months with options for two additional twelve (12) month periods. Place of Performance Services shall be provided at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Bldg. 52/72, Room 1108, 10903 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20993.
