Background The USDA Forest Service, specifically the Intermountain Zone, is issuing this solicitation for the Magpie Creek Bank Stabilization project located within the Medora Ranger District of the Dakota Prairie Grasslands. The goal of this contract is to repair an eroding cut bank along Magpie Creek within Magpie Campground, which is essential for maintaining the integrity of the campground and surrounding environment. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for a variety of construction tasks including: - Repairing an eroding cut bank along Magpie Creek - Restoring the creek channel away from the cut bank - Constructing a 2:1 fill slope - Armoring the toe of the slope with riprap - Placing topsoil - Seeding all disturbed areas - Resurfacing the campground road and trailheads with scoria surfacing - Constructing four Beaver Dam Analogs (BDA) on Magpie Creek adjacent to the campground. The contractor must furnish labor, equipment (fully operated), supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform all work as described in the plans and specifications. Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed and complete it within 90 calendar days. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Magpie Campground located in Billings County, North Dakota.
