Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the supply and installation of vault toilets at Canyonlands National Park, specifically in the Island in the Sky District at the Grand View Point Overlook. The goal of this contract is to enhance visitor facilities by providing essential restroom services in a remote area, thereby supporting the park's mission to preserve natural resources while providing for visitor enjoyment. Work Details The project involves the supply and installation of two new double vault toilets equipped with windscreens and squat plate openings. The toilets will feature a shed roof sloped at a 2 to 12 ratio. Key tasks include: excavating the vault pad, supplying and placing the vaults, constructing buildings and windscreens, and performing final backfill and compaction around the vaults to achieve predetermined subgrade elevations. The work site is located approximately 45 miles from Moab, Utah, requiring specific travel directions for access. Period of Performance The contractor is expected to begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and must complete all work within 180 calendar days. The anticipated start date for on-site work is July 2026, contingent upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
