Background The Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) has identified fire deficiencies at their facilities in Sidney, NE and Cheyenne, WY during recent inspections. The goal of this contract is to correct these deficiencies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and to adequately equip the facilities for fire events. Work Details The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete the following tasks: - Perform a Hydrostatic test on the Fire Department Connection. - Perform a 5-Year Internal Inspection on two (2) of the four (4) Wet systems. - Perform a 5-Year Internal Inspection on three (3) pre-action systems. - Perform a 3-Year Air Leakage Test on the three (3) pre-action systems. - Replace the broken Diesel Fire Pump Block Heater. - Replace 3 failed flame/flash detectors at Sidney, NE. At Cheyenne, WY, the contractor shall: - Replace six (6) recalled Fire Lite BG-10 pull stations with six (6) BG-12L pull stations. - Replace twenty-one (21) fixed temperature heat detectors that are over 15 years old. - Troubleshoot and repair notification devices to ensure consistent audible function. - Provide labor to replace pull stations and heat detectors, test function, and update compliance engine once repairs are complete. Additionally, replace various sizes of fire extinguishers that failed annual inspections as detailed in the Performance Work Statement. Period of Performance The work is expected to be completed by April 15, 2026. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at two locations: Sidney, NE at Virginia Smith Converter Station and Cheyenne, WY at the Western Area Power Administration Cheyenne Office/Warehouse.
