Background The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Acquisition Branch is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the procurement of a Boat Electrofishing System. The goal of this contract is to acquire a new electrofishing unit that will support fisheries-related research conducted by the USGS Oklahoma Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. This research is essential for understanding aquatic ecosystems and managing fish populations effectively. Work Details The contract requires the delivery of one (1) Boat Electrofishing System with the following specifications: - Must be suitable for installation in an existing 16-foot Sea Ark boat (model 1660 MVJT) with center console. - Operate effectively in water conductivities ranging from 100 to 1000. - Utilize pulsed DC current up to 600 V (VAC capability is not requested). - Capable of monitoring and adjusting electrical output (volts, amps) for safe electrofishing use. - Monitor time (in seconds) that electricity is delivered during operations. - Water resistant for wet environments. - Emergency shut-off system included. - Required electrical filters (voltage stabilizer) for compatibility with recommended inverter generators, such as the Honda EU7000i generator. - Foot switch included. - Cables and junction boxes necessary for adapting wiring to existing anode boom arrays. Period of Performance 60 Days After Receipt of Order Place of Performance Delivery will be made to USGS Oklahoma Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, 404 Life Sciences West, Stillwater, OK 74078-3051.
