Background The contract is issued by the 509th Bomb Wing/Health Care (BW/HC) at Whiteman Air Force Base (AFB) for the position of Catholic Religious Education Coordinator. The mission of this position is to oversee and coordinate all religious education programs and Bible studies within the Catholic chapel ministry, ensuring alignment with the Archdiocese of Military Services guidelines. The goal is to foster a supportive religious education environment for the military community, promoting interfaith collaboration and active participation in Christian education. Work Details The RE Coordinator will be responsible for: - Coordinating all religious education programs and monitoring Bible studies; - Working with installation personnel and other faith groups; - Recruiting RE teachers and recognizing their accomplishments; - Developing an annual Catholic RE curriculum in coordination with the Catholic priest; - Implementing various programs including catechist training, sacramental programs, and seasonal events; - Managing RE registration activities; - Attending advisory council meetings; - Administering assessments for RE students; - Ensuring compliance with safety requirements; - Maintaining participant information confidentially; and overseeing facility usage for programs. The contractor must also ensure that all volunteers working with youth undergo background checks as per DoDI 1402.5, maintain operational security, and provide advance notice for absences. Period of Performance 1 Base year (12 months) with 4 Option Years. Place of Performance Whiteman Air Force Base.
