THE WORK CONSISTS OF

Furnish all equipment, materials, permits and labor to perform the chemical vegetation control services at the Woonsocket Flood Reduction Project, Woonsocket, RI. The Woonsocket Flood Reduction Project includes four (4) locations with 17 work areas for a total of approximately 18 acres. The areas require maintenance spraying and spot treatments of vegetation on rock slopes and dam structures. Chemical Utilization Spray Reports shall be submitted upon completion of chemical herbicide application. The Contractor's work and responsibility shall include, but not be limited to, all job planning, programming, scheduling, administration, inspection, personnel, equipment, vehicles, fuel, This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. Work Details The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and transportation necessary to perform chemical vegetation control services at four locations with 17 work areas around the Woonsocket Flood Reduction Project. This includes: - Chemically treating approximately 18 acres of vegetation on rip-rap stone channel protection, dam structures, and levees to remove undesirable vegetative growth such as woody vegetation, invasive plant species, noxious weeds, and grasses. - Achieving a 90% kill rate at 30 days post-treatment; if not met, re-spraying will be required at no additional cost. - Submitting Chemical Utilization Spray Reports upon completion detailing chemicals used, amounts applied, and conditions during spraying. - Conducting all work in compliance with safety regulations including EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards. - Preparing a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan and submitting it within 21 days of contract award. - Ensuring all chemicals are applied according to state regulations and manufacturer guidelines while taking precautions for environmental protection. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from April 1, 2026, to November 30, 2026. There are options for two additional years: Option Year 1 from December 1, 2026, to November 30, 2027; Option Year 2 from December 1, 2027, to November 30, 2028.
