Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for grounds maintenance services at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center (MGVAMC) located in Spokane, Washington. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facility grounds are maintained in a clean, safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing condition to support the VA's mission of providing a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and management necessary to perform comprehensive grounds maintenance services at the MGVAMC. Services include: - Weekly lawn mowing (trim, edge, and blow) during the growing season (May 1 - October 15) and as needed outside this period. - Trimming and edging services weekly in conjunction with lawn mowing. - Lawn aeration and dethatching annually in May. - Street and parking lot sweeping. - Leaf and debris removal including seasonal spring and fall cleanups. - Chemical treatments including fertilization (5-step program) and weed control (pre-emergent & post-emergent). - Tree and shrub care program addressing insects and diseases. - Irrigation system maintenance and repair. - Pest control around building perimeters. - Vegetation control in designated areas. - Removal of native vegetation around specified buildings as needed. Place of Performance All work under this contract shall be performed at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center located at 4815 North Assembly Street, Spokane, Washington 99205.
