Background The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) is undertaking the Phoenix Data Center Re-Cabling Project to enhance its infrastructure. This project aims to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the data center operations in the Desert Southwest Region, specifically in Phoenix. The goal is to ensure that all products and services procured under this contract align with sustainable practices as mandated by various federal guidelines. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing sustainable products and services necessary for the re-cabling project. This includes: 1. Products containing recovered materials as designated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). 2. Energy- and water-efficient products that are ENERGY STAR® certified or Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP)-designated. 3. Biobased products meeting USDA content requirements under the BioPreferred® program. 4. Acceptable chemicals, products, and manufacturing processes listed under EPA's Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program. The contractor must ensure that these sustainable products are delivered, furnished for use, incorporated into public works, and used in services where their cost is a direct expense to this contract.
