The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this solicitation including interested Small Business sources. This notice is for PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. All interested parties should respond. The 182d Airlift Wing of the Illinois Air National Guard intends issue a solicitation and award of a contract for Fire Extinguisher Services to include a base period of one (1) year and four (4) additional option years. Service includes but is not limited to the following: Service 10-pound ABC Dry Checmical and 1.25-pound Halon 1211 Aircraft extinguisher requiring annual maintenance Service 10-pound ABC Dry Chemical Extinguishers requiring 6-year internal inspection Service 10-pound ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers requiring hydrostatic testing Service K-Class Wet Chemical Fire Extinguisher requiring hydrostatic testing Service stored water pressure extinguisher requiring hydrostatic testing Service 50lb DC extinguishers -- perform 6-year service on class DC dry chemical extinguisher Service 20-30lb dry chemical extinguishers -- wheeled ABC units requiring 6-year maintenance. Service 150-lb wheeled Halon 1211 extinguishers requiring annual inspection 4. Contract award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The type of solicitation issued will depend upon the responses to this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of the Small Business Community to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Woman-Owned Small Business to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price Contract. 5. All interested concerns shall respond in writing to Jason Shallenberger via email at jason.shallenberger@us.af.mil by 24 Mar 2026, 12:00 PM CDT. The response shall not exceed five typewritten pages and must include: 6. (1) A completed and signed Sources Sought Response Form (attached to this posting). 7. (2) A positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor. 8. (3) A brief outline of key personnel, resources, and subcontractors that would be used to accomplish the contract. 9. (4) A listing of comparable projects completed during the past three years for both government and private industry. Include as part of this listing: type of project, dollar value, location, 'owner' point of contact, contract number, and indicate whether you were prime or subcontractor (provide prime contractor Name/POC if performed as a sub). 10. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.
