Background The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Basin (UCB) Region, Four Corners Construction Office (FCCO) is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project (NGWSP) Block 2-3 Pipeline. This project aims to provide a reliable municipal and industrial water supply from the San Juan River to various regions including the eastern section of the Navajo Nation, southwestern portion of the Jicarilla Apache Nation, and the city of Gallup, New Mexico. The project will be procured with full and open competition. Work Details The construction tasks under this contract include: 1. Approximately 6.0 miles of 42-inch diameter buried water transmission pipe. 2. Approximately 5.9 miles of 48-inch diameter buried water transmission pipe. 3. Two 0.3 million-gallon ground level storage tanks, including yard and access road construction. 4. Construction of wash crossings and bored crossings. 5. Installation of precast manhole structures and buried manholes. 6. Construction of concrete thrust collars, tapers, and encased miter bends. 7. Installation of valves, air valves, and blowoffs as well as road and utility crossings. 8. Implementation of erosion control measures and cathodic protection systems. 9. Installation of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) equipment along with fiber optic cabling. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is not explicitly stated but will be defined in the forthcoming solicitation. Place of Performance The work will take place along the Block 2-3 pipeline alignment, starting south of the Frank Chee Willetto Reservoir approximately 17 miles east of Shiprock, New Mexico, and terminating at the San Juan Lateral Water Treatment Plant approximately 6 miles east of the intersection of U.S. Highway 491 and Navajo Route 36 in San Juan County.
