Background The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for Emergency Well Network Water Testing Services as a base plus four option year contract for the Asheville VAMC. This initiative aims to ensure the safety and quality of potable water supplied by an emergency well system developed in response to damage caused by Hurricane Helene. The goal is to establish a rigorous testing regimen to maintain water quality readiness for future emergencies. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform monthly water testing services for the emergency backup well network at the Charles George VA Medical Center. The testing will include analysis of Total Coliform, E.coli, Lead, Nitrates, Nitrites, pH, Total Iron, Phosphorous, Copper, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Total Alkalinity, Turbidity, Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine, and Total Hardness. Test results must be delivered digitally to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) within five business days of testing. The contractor must coordinate testing dates with the COR and ensure compliance with facility regulations regarding work hours and safety protocols. Period of Performance The contract period will commence on March 20, 2026, and conclude on March 19, 2031. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the Asheville VAMC located at 1100 Tunnel Rd, Asheville NC 28805.
