Background The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), specifically the Laboratory Services and Applied Sciences Division (LSASD) in Region 4, is seeking to procure, deliver, and install four Milli-Q IQ 7000 Water Purification Systems. The LSASD conducts environmental analysis of air, soil, and water samples to support EPA regulatory programs and environmental monitoring activities. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of ultrapure water necessary for accurate laboratory results. Work Details The contractor will provide the following: 1. Purchase, delivery, and installation of four (4) Milli-Q IQ 7000 water purification units manufactured by EMD Millipore. 2. Minimum 12-month warranty from the date of delivery. 3. The systems must produce Type I ultrapure water with specifications including: - Resistivity at 25°C: 18.2 MΩ·cm - Total Organic Carbon (TOC): ≤ 2 ppb - Particles: No particles > 0.22 µm - Bacteria: < 0.01 CFU/mL - Pyrogens (Endotoxins): < 0.001 EU/mL - RNases: < 1 pg/mL - DNases: < 5 pg/mL - Proteases: < 0.15 µg/mL - Flow Rate: 0.05 – 2 L/min 4. Installation requirements include delivery to the installation location, assembly, calibration, functional testing, and demonstration of system operation. Period of Performance The equipment shall be delivered within 120 days after receipt of order (ARO).
