Background The City of Peoria, Arizona, is seeking a qualified Design Builder to provide design and construction services for renovations at the Peoria Sports Complex stadium. This project aims to enhance the fan experience by replacing unshaded bleacher seating on the first base side with multi-level shaded premium seating, dining, and beverage options. The improvements will also include necessary site enhancements such as water, sewer, and fire suppression connections. The project is funded through the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) with an anticipated construction cost of $8 million. Work Details The scope of work includes: - Demolition of existing first base bleacher style outfield seating. - Construction of new multi-level shaded premium outfield seating and group event areas. - Enhancement of food and beverage services. - Installation of audio-visual infrastructure to improve game experience. The selected Design Builder will be responsible for assessing bridging documents prepared by a City-hired design professional, developing cost models, advancing designs for early issuance of structural steel and foundations GMP packages, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local permitting requirements. Period of Performance Construction is scheduled to commence at the conclusion of Cactus League Spring Training in 2027 and must be completed prior to the start of the Arizona Fall League schedule. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the Peoria Sports Complex located at 16101 N. 83rd Avenue in Peoria, Arizona. Bidder Requirements Submitting firms must demonstrate prior design and construction experience for governmental entities in Arizona, particularly in sports venues. Experience with Major League Baseball teams and fast-track construction projects is preferred. Firms must not claim exclusivity with any architectural or engineering consultants or trade subcontractors.
