Background The Department of the Air Force, specifically the Air Force Materiel Command, is issuing this solicitation for solid waste management services at multiple locations including the Rome Research Site and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) in Rome, New York, as well as facilities in Newport and Oneida, New York. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective waste management services that support the operations of these installations. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform solid waste management. This includes but is not limited to: collection, transportation, and disposal of refuse; ensuring compliance with environmental regulations; maintaining records of waste management activities; and providing reports as required by the contracting officer. The contractor must also adhere to safety standards and ensure that all operations are conducted in a manner that minimizes disruption to the facilities' operations. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period starting from April 1, 2026, through September 30, 2031. This includes a one-year base period with four additional one-year options and a potential six-month extension. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the following locations: Rome Research Site (RRS) at Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome, NY; Newport Research Facilities in Newport, NY; and Stockbridge Research Facilities in Oneida, NY.
