Introduction: The purpose of this is to obtain information and comments from interested and potential sources with the capability to procure the KC-46A F139-PW4062-100. The United States Air Force (USAF) has a requirement for the procurement of twelve (12) spare core engines with the option to procure an additional seven (7) core engines via an option(s). The intent of this SSS/RFI is to discover potential sources of procurement of this requirement. The objective is each spare engine shall be procured, preserved, wrapped, and shipped to Tinker AFB where Engine Build Up (EBU) will occur making the spare engine Ready for Installation. All procurement of Quick Engine Change (QEC) components, EBU, Inlet Cowl, and Engine Trailer/Cradle will be procured separately. Background The United States Air Force (USAF) is seeking information and comments from potential sources capable of procuring the KC-46A F139-PW4062-100 spare core engines. The requirement includes the procurement of twelve (12) spare core engines, with an option for seven (7) additional engines. The goal is to ensure that each spare engine is procured, preserved, wrapped, and shipped to Tinker AFB for Engine Build Up (EBU), making them ready for installation. This request serves as a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS)/Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential suppliers for this requirement. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. **Procurement and Shipping**: Procure, preserve, wrap, and ship twelve spare core engines to Tinker AFB. All Quick Engine Change (QEC) components, EBU, Inlet Cowl, and Engine Trailer/Cradle will be procured separately. 2. **Acceptance Test Plan**: Develop/update and maintain an Acceptance Test Plan defining performance objectives and detailed procedures for acceptance of all F139 spare engines. 3. **Systems Engineering/Project Management**: Perform systems engineering and project management efforts applicable to the production of spare engines. 4. **Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS)**: Develop and maintain a CWBS and CWBS Dictionary in accordance with MIL-STD-881F. 5. **Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation**: Ensure proper preservation and packaging of all components for shipment according to specified military standards. 6. **Shipping Preparation**: Prepare preserved/wrapped spare engines for shipping, including compliance with military packaging standards. 7. **Testing and Evaluation**: Conduct necessary tests to ensure all spare engines perform in their intended environment supporting the KC-46A weapon system while adhering to FAA and military certifications. Place of Performance The primary place of performance will be Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.
