(DOS) is an Army organization sited on Fort Novosel, Alabama. DOS plans, coordinates, implements, and manages live, virtual, constructive, gaming (LVCG), and Mission Command (MC) efforts that support Institutional Initial Military Training (IMT), Professional Military Education (PME), and select external training readiness requirements. DOS executes its critical training support mission from two separate facilities (Bldg 5440 and Bldg 5101) which together house in excess of $500 Million worth of simulation and simulator equipment as well as associated network and communication architectures. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract Service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. The Contractor, in turn, shall be accountable to the Government for Contractor or subcontractor personnel. Period of Performance is from 1 May 2026 to 1 May 2027.
Background The Directorate of Simulation (DOS) is an Army organization located at Fort Novosel, Alabama. DOS is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and managing live, virtual, constructive, gaming (LVCG), and Mission Command (MC) efforts that support Institutional Initial Military Training (IMT), Professional Military Education (PME), and select external training readiness requirements. The contract aims to provide maintenance and installation services for security systems at DOS facilities. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform maintenance as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Specific tasks include: 1. Installation of the Video Surveillance System (VSS) and Security Access Control and Badging/Monitoring System (SAC/BMS). 2. Reuse existing components such as card readers and locking devices; no government-furnished property will be provided. 3. Ensure proper functioning of the video system network by providing all necessary fibers, connections, servers, and switches. 4. Maintain servers that hold no less than 60 days of video recordings with capabilities for high-grade video recording in restricted areas. 5. Conduct a preliminary site walk to finalize camera placements ensuring full coverage of building entrances and perimeters. 6. Provide 24/7 technical support including online software updates or technician visits as needed. 7. Ensure all work does not interrupt student Programs of Instruction (POI), performing tasks during non-student hours when necessary. 8. Maintain compliance with security policies including background checks for contractor personnel. Period of Performance The contract period is from May 1, 2026 to May 1, 2027. Place of Performance The work will be performed at Fort Novosel, Alabama in buildings 5440 and 5101.
