Background Lincoln Electric System (LES) is seeking bids for the purchase of six (6) 115kV Outdoor Metering Current Transformers to support their operations. The goal of this contract is to ensure the provision of high-quality metering equipment that meets specific technical and operational standards, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of electrical services in Lincoln, Nebraska. Work Details The contractor is required to furnish and deliver six (6) 115kV Outdoor Metering Current Transformers (CTs) as per LES specifications. The CTs must be oil-filled, outdoor-rated, designed for ambient temperatures between -40C and +50C, with a double secondary, single-ratio configuration for metering applications. Specific requirements include: - Maximum design voltage: 123kV - Nominal operating voltage: 115kV - Insulation level: 230kV - Rated lightning impulse withstand voltage: 550kV - Rated continuous current: 2000 amperes - Metering Accuracy Class: 0.15 B-1.8 - Marked Ratio for both cores: 1200:5 SR - Creepage Distance minimum: 125 inches. The CTs must also meet seismic ratings for Lincoln, Nebraska. Additionally, the contractor must provide steel mounting accommodations and ensure compliance with various codes and standards including ANSI, IEEE, NEMA, AWS, and NESC. Period of Performance The delivery of the six (6) 115kV CTs is expected by May 2027. Place of Performance The products will be delivered to Lincoln Electric System located at 9445 Rokeby Rd., Lincoln, NE 68526. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have at least five years of experience in the design and manufacture of similar CTs and should have supplied at least 300 units identical to those being bid. Bidders are required to submit complete specifications and descriptive materials with their bids. All bids must comply with federal and state laws governing the conduct of contractors during contract performance.
